As the Tubbs Fire tore across Napa and Sonoma counties last October, Eisner Award-winning graphic novelist Brian Fies (Mom’s Cancer) chronicled the destruction happening all around him, including the loss of his own home, in a short webcomic entitled A Fire Story. The cathartic narrative garnered nationwide coverage and recently led to the announcement that it will soon be expended into a graphic novel.
