
The Marin Comics Fest in partnership with the libraries of Marin County is pleased to present a special online event with Keith Knight, syndicated cartoonist and co-creator of the Hulu series Woke, on Wednesday, September 23, from 6 to 7 p.m. The event is free, but registration is required. Best known for his semi-autobiographical weekly comic The K Chronicles and the social and politically focused (Th)ink, Knight’s employs his own humorous anecdotes and personal experience to shine a light everything from life’s little victories to racial injustice.
Keith’s work has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Washington Post, Ebony, L.A. Weekly, Salon.com, and MAD magazine. A recipient of the NAACP History Maker award, he also illustrates the children’s book series Jake the Fake by Craig Robinson and Adam Mansbach. On September 9 of this year, the streaming TV service Hulu premiered the new series Woke, inspired by The K Chronicles, starring Lamorne Morris, Blake Anderson, T. Murph, Rose McIver, and Sasheer Zamata.
